the
guiding
texts
of modern eco-humanism
The Guiding Texts of modern eco-humanism are essential written documents,
initially published by the Gaia Mater OING (representing the eco-humanist
community at the UN in permanent consultative status since 2006) in their
latest updated edition (2012),
and put in the public domain. They can continue to be corrected and updated by
conventions of revision, organized by the HCEHC (1) .
They
consist in agregative documents, including
:
① The
Fundamental Charter of the Protective Societal Principles, accompanied
with
(Both forming the core
the
Complementary Charter
of Protection of the Environment and of the Quality of Life.
of the principial corpus.)
② The
Practical Reminder of the Eco-humanist,
complemented by a
modelled
frame of learning.
③ The
Introductory Syntesis of Eco-humanism.
④ The
Eco-knowledges for
everybody which
summarize the scientific bases used in eco-humanism.
These
texts are complementary each other, but each one
sufficient to expose the essentials of eco-humanism.
Regarding the Charters, they can be published and posted separately, but
they remain inserted into the
Reminder and into the Introductory Synthesis.
These Charters formalize superior
criteria of orientation and appreciation of human acts, as well as
a framework of societal cohesion, and major civic objectives. They constitute
a conceptual and practical basis which guides and which makes more cohesive
the eco-humanist community. Their last wording ensues from
the works of the conventions of coordination of 1998 and 1999 of the Gaia Mater's
network of NGOs.
The Reminder expresses in diverse short complementary presentations the deep spirit, the trajectory, the motivations, and the common values,
of eco-humanism. This Reminder consists of a selection of the favorite and most used texts of the majority of eco-humanist animators-volunteers in their activities.
It is complemented by didactical models.
The Introductory Synthesis of the "Speeches on eco-humanism and
on the philosophy of evolution" is a selection of support-texts of several colloquiums, conferences, and trainings of
animators, compiled and reorganized in 1998. This introductory synthesis became since then the main training medium of eco-humanist
animators-volunteers.
All these texts
is integrated in a specific educational corpus which is used at first to educate
the eco-humanist volunteers, but which is gladly shared also with any other interested person
or structure. This corpus includes studies and didactic collections (e.g.
Eco-knowledges) which deepen knowledge bases.
(1) A common
body in independent functioning, the
High Council of Eco-Humanist
Cohesion (of which the administrators are chosen by drawn lots and renewed among the
main eco-humanist animators and creators of structures fom different
countries), expresses opinions, arbitrations, and recommendations
about the eco-humanist practices and references.
It performs also the exceptional revision of the guiding texts, and their
translation into the main usual languages.
